This is a store-bought wood Pumpkin shape in a sage green. It has a curvy natural wood stem that gives it so much character.
I first sanded the surface a bit, then used permanent ink and acrylic paint. Lots of layers of colors and brushstrokes add to the depth in this piece. This Dark Owl is so gorgeous against the background color and Fall foliage. The bright, full moon adds a wonderfully spooky feel, as well!
I've sprayed this pumpkin with a UV Protectant, satin-finish coating. This will help protect your art, but please take care not to put these pumpkins outside or store where other items can scratch or damage the art. It has a cute raffia box finished with an orange button.
It measures approx. 6 inches (15.24 cm) tall including the stem. It is about 4 inches (10.16 cm) across and about an inch (2.54 cm) thick. It stands on it own.
