The cover is made with a spooky, apothecary label collage fabric that features spider webs and spiders, different types of beetles, and a mix of vintage looking labels. 2 fabric pockets in coordinating colors with decorative elements adhered to them, hold tags and have a place to write your name.
The cover's substrate is a sturdy lightweight cardboard.
Skulls, bugs, scientific labels, and worn textures are abundant in this book..
Carefully chosen papers in varying weights, textures, and patterns make this Journal a joy to flip through. Genuine tea-stained and rust-dyed papers are included, as well, giving a fantastic aged appearance to them! Pockets and tuck spots are ready to be added to and the tags and journaling cards create even more writing space.
There are, also, perfectly imperfect sewing details. I have left wispy tails to all my sewing to add visual interest and texture. The Journal is secured with stamped and splattered cream-colored ribbon.
This Journal would be a wonderful companion for those loving Dark Academia, oddities, old scientific notes, or general curiosity shop feels.
